Amazon Picks for the New School Year!

July 13, 2019November 6, 2019 1 comment

Amazon Prime Day comes at the perfect time for educators! This year it falls on July 15 & 16. I personally buy a ton (probably too much!) from Amazon throughout the year, both for personal and professional items. Their prime membership cannot be beat…do you need a book for a session this week…you can have it in 2 days!

You can get a free month of Prime Membership and no better time to start now:

I have gotten some of my most used and favorite items from Amazon, so I wanted to share my favorites with you all!

Organization

I have this desk top plastic tray organizer labeled in my room and it really helps with organization, and it’s pretty to look at!

I have blogged before about how I love and use these envelopes for handing out rating scales and other things I need back from staff. They really hold up, and their color makes them nearly impossible for peopl to lose or forget!

I’m not going to lie, Astrobright Paper & Cardstock makes me happy.

Materials/Prep

I use regular paper for most of my materials, but for those that kiddos will be using daily (check in books, card games, posters I will use year after year), it pays to use a thicker cardstock, and I love this one!

I still use the school laminator for everyday projects, but you cannot beat the thickness of this Scotch laminator and these sheets. I must be on my 5th box by now!

I cannot believe I ever bought Velcro dots any other way than these giant rolls. They lasted me almost a year, and are the best for all of the behavior plans and charts you’ll create!

I use these stickers for my reward system and kids LOVE. THEM.

The “What to Do When….” Books are some of my most used, and a favorite of my older kids especially. I find that kids really use what they have learned! I have Temper Flares, Worry Too Much & Grumble Too Much.

If you have younger kiddos and you play a lot of board games, I love these that are bigger, quieter, and less likely to get lost during games!

Activities & Tools for Kids

Sequin animals! I have the shark and turtle, and my kiddos love to use them as calming tools and fidgets.

My students love this Kinetic Sand and tool kit. It’s one of the most used tools in my room.

I don’t have a ton of board games, but I like to keep those that are liked by kids of all ages, and I can adapt to a variety of goals. Connect 4, Jenga & Uno are some of my most used!

I run out of this Thinking Putty no matter how much I purchase each year!

Other Fun Stuff

You don’t need this doorstep ice cream cone, but I can promise you it will get people talking if you have it!

See a review of this book here. I love it and still reference it!

I use references from this book constantly during the school year. I waited for the price to go down, but it was worth it!

Very educational and informative. Also, not as much filler content as in other Posts I have read about this topic so very nice to see that. Keep it up!
