Organization Camp Day 14: Contact Log

July 24, 2019November 7, 2019 2 comments

I am either SO GOOD or SO BAD at taking notes when I contact people. Anyone else know what I mean? Either I write down EVERYTHING with great detail and easy to recall information, or I forget to write down anything. There is no in between for me.

Like my daily logs I will talk about in a few days, I’ve found it best to keep a clipboard on my desk with this form on it, and write down my contact notes as I go. An outside therapist calls to talk about a student? Write it down. A parent stops in to talk about a concern? Write it down. I’ve tried doing this on Google Drive, but it just didn’t work for me. If does for you, great! Just find a system that works! I guarantee there will come a day where someone will say that you said something sometime, and you will want your notes to back you up!

At the end of every month, I scan these to upload to my computer and toss the paper copies! What works for you? Find the forms that I use in Keep Calm Freebies!

Hello! I am thoroughly enjoying your blog, especially the Organization Camp posts. On your contact form, what do the types “PC” and “IP” stand for?

Phone call and In Person…those were the two I needed!
